Reliant on the donations of benefactors Sadagaat-USA was able to become a mediator between those seeking aid, and those able to provide it. Through the generosity, kindness, and empathy of sponsors and volunteers, Sadagaat-USA can continue improving the quality of life of the people of Sudan.

Across Sudan, the heavy rain continues to affect 17 of the 18 States, causing widespread floods and leading to an increasing number of casualties and damage and more than 100,000 houses destroyed or damaged, leaving an estimated over 506,000, locals in need of help, and where nearly 100 people have tragically died and another 50 people have been injured.

Rains have been particularly heavy in North Darfur, and across Southern States, East Sudan, White Nile, Darfur and Khartoum.

Many in urgent need of shelter, clean water, sanitation and other emergency assistance.

Your much appreciated generosity helped deliver:

• 70,500 empty Sandbags.
• 716 Tents to shelter families that have completely lost their homes due to the floods.
• 3,200 Mosquito Nets to mitigate malaria and other diseases.
• Clean water for 1,300 impacted families.
• Mobile latrines in 3 camps.
• Mobile showers in 3 camps.
• Food supplies, personal hygiene items, and tarpaulins to 400 families.
• Equipped 25 Four Wheel Drive vehicles to support insect’s spray operation with the health ministry.

Entering the flood recovery phase, we would like to count on your continued support and your will to help us relay the message to your circles of family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. Funds raised from the recovery campaign will drive the following projects:

• Establishment of sustainable sources of clean water.
• Establishment of durable emergency shelters.
• Wider spread of mobile latrines.
• Health services, vaccinations, and nutritional supplies.
• Aerial and land spraying of insecticides to inhibit the spread of Malaria, Cholera and other gastrointestinal diseases.

Sadagaat continues conducting surveys in different areas to provide more support; some of the regions have schools’ damages; our team working on evaluating the damages on impacted schools.
